Submission Guidelines by Folder
Here is a folder by folder guide to where you should submit. PLEASE NOTE: STA abides by all of the DA rules and terms of service. We will NOT accept pieces that are:
-Sexually explicit (via DA rules)
-Stolen
-Screenshots
-Journals

The Featured Folder

-This folder is closed. Once a month, the admins will go through ALL gallery folders and pick their three favorite pieces for the month. These will be moved to the Featured Folder.
-Why? Because we want to make sure that our Featured Folder houses the best of our group. That's why it's "featured." To avoid hurt feelings over being declined entry, and to ensure high quality, the admins will decide what goes in. This is also to make sure ALL forms of art are featured, not just elaborate paintings.

3D Computer Art

-This folder is for 3D Computer Art. Things done in programs like Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, and daz3D.

Artisan Crafts and Jewelry

- This folder is for things that have been made by hand or other means that do not include a computer. Models, windchimes, leather-work, wood works, masks, make-up, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, socks, clothes, shoes, needlepoint, and anything else you can think of.

Digital Artwork

-This is a folder for all forms of digital work. Paintings, animations, stamps, icons, pixels, and so on. If you made it with photoshop, SAI, or any other digital program, and it is not a vector, fractal, or 3D image, it belongs here.

Fan Art

-This is for fan art of all sorts. Video games, Anime characters, actors/characters/famous people, movie based portraits/pieces, or art pertaining to popular movements and chapters in history belong here. What was used to make them doesn't matter.

Literature and Poetry

-Here is where you can submit your writings. Free verse, scripted, stories, fanfics, and so on.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN JOURNALS. Please do NOT submit your personal journals here or anywhere else in the group. Those are not art and they WILL be declined!

You see, I have Huntington’s disease, and I’ve had it for a long time now. It’s supposed to be incurable, and the standard life expectancy for people who get the disease is about fifteen years after the diagnosis. After that, you just kind of die, or at least that’s how I imagine it works. None of the doctors have really told me anything beyond that, and even if they had, I don’t think I’d understand anyway. I’d always done okay in school, but none of the medical terms even make sense, like CAG. What is CAG, anyway? It gets brought up all the time at hospital meetings and check-ups, but I don’t remember anyone ever calling it by its unabbreviated name.

Traditional Paintings

-This is where all your traditional media paintings should go. Oil, watercolor, acrylic, a mix of all of them, whatever you please! If it's a painting, it goes here. Please note this is for paintings only! Do not submit colored pencil work, markers, etc here! They have their own folder below!

Traditional Media Besides Paint

- Here is where you can submit all traditional media BESIDES painting! Colored pencils, ink, marker, calligraphy, watercolor pencils, graphite, charcoal, have I missed anything? They all go here. If it's not a painting but done traditionally, please submit it to this folder!

Vector and Fractal Art

- Vectors and Fractals go here! While they're digital art they're sort of their own entity too, so we decided to keep them separate.

Photography

-This folder is for non-stock photography. Any subject is accepted provided it is within DA rules. Keep in mind these are photos that are not available for public use.

Stock and Resources

-This is where all the stock photographs go. This folder also is for free-use linearts, tutorials, walk-throughs, brush and effect packs, free wallpapers (that you created), and so on. If it's for the community to use, this is where it goes!

Unsorted Art

-"Unsorted Art" is a folder for things that don't really fit into the above categories. Here is where we'd like to see you guys submit things such as mixed media, sketch dumps, adoptables, DA I.D.s, and work in progress pieces (WIPs).
